Applied Science Associates Inc. commenced operations in 1982 when it was formed
to manage the consulting services of the two founders, Drs. Robert Fischl
and Peter Herczfeld. In 1996, Robert Fischl joined the staff full time after
retiring from Drexel University and began to grow the company utilizing SBIR
grants to fund research. The company’s research focus has been along
the R&D expertise of the two founders in the areas of photonics, microwave
engineering, power engineering and control systems.
In 2004, Mr. Zygmond Turski joined the company as a partner and CEO, bringing
to F&H ASA his 30 years of engineering/management experience in all aspects
of products development for government and commercial markets. He has reorganized
F&H ASA to be products oriented. Specifically, the various R&D functions
have been integrated with the six product lines making each a ‘stand
alone’ product capable of transitioning to production. In addition, Mr.
Turski has brought to F&H ASA the area of microwave EW and communication
components and systems.
F&H ASA’s strength is its employees and their ability to provide
value for customers. They are, recognized experts in their fields of expertise,
highly motivated and effective. Additionally, F&H ASA employees and associates
utilize their vast network of commercial and technical contacts to augment
their own talents and abilities. All of these individuals, both directly and
indirectly, jointly provide an extremely innovative and motivated team. This
F&H ASA team provides R&D services and state-of-the-art Electronic,
microWave, mmWave, and Electro-Optic products to the industry and government
agencies.
